In recent years, we have observed a dynamic development of the biotechnology sector. The role and recognition of Polish representatives in this field is also growing. The exchange of experiences and establishing business contacts is possible, among others, at trade fairs in the life science sector. On February 22-24, 2022. the 27th DUPHAT (Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies) fair took place in Dubai. The representative of Polish biotechnology at the national stand during this event was Dr. Magdalena Kulczycka from CEBioForum, who admits that Dubai is one of the most interesting markets open to new technologies in pharmacy and cosmetology.

DUPHAT is a unique event that should not be missed by anyone from the biotech industry. It connects scientists and entrepreneurs from around the world. The leading mission of the fair is to provide comprehensive solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. During three days of meetings, conferences and workshops are held, during which you can learn from leaders in the field of biotechnology, researchers, as well as hold meetings and exchange scientific views. Presentations of individual countries, on the other hand, give an opportunity to present innovations in the biotech sector and create new business perspectives for participants.

This year’s DUPHAT, like last year, focused on the challenges and achievements in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. The latest strategies for fighting the disease were presented, as well as the role of pharmacy and medical procedures during the pandemic. Among the topics and problems that representatives of the biotech-farm industry will deal with this year, there are also: rare diseases, cardiology, HIV, Alzheimer’s disease, drug therapy, pharmacogenomics, and shaping future medical procedures.
