We became a partner of the international conference “PORT for Health: Oncology”!
“PORT for Health” is a series of conferences organized by PORT as part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, devoted to life sciences and medicine, which brings together industry professionals. Each year, the event addresses specific topics that are crucial to modern biomedical sciences and important to human health. Alternately every two years, scientists, clinicians, and representatives of the pharmaceutical industry discuss issues based on neuroscience and oncology. They focus on basic molecular mechanisms and the development of human disease models, as well as on the search for new drugs and the possibility of innovative targeted therapies in personalized medicine.
The topic of this year’s conference will be oncology, and more specifically the biological basis of cancer, precise therapies in oncology and issues related to diagnostics. Lectures and sessions will be conducted by specialists from leading research centers in Europe and the United States. They will discuss topics such as: rare diseases, DDR (DNA Damage Response) and its relationship with the formation of cancer, immuno-oncology, biomarkers and new diagnostic methods, i.e. AI computational pathology.
“PORT for Health: Oncology” will take place on September 28-29, 2022 in a hybrid form. Participants will be able to take part in lectures and discussions on site in Wrocław, as well as watch live broadcasts online. The entire conference will be conducted in English.
