CEBioForum has a long tradition. The first took place in 2000 (previously called Bio-Forum) in Łódź, at the initiative of prof. Tadeusz Pietruchy, biotechnologist, associate professor at the Medical University of Lodz. The idea behind CEBioForum is to support start-ups and modern technologies in the field of life sciences. The event is accompanied by fairs and conferences that facilitate establishing business contacts and are an opportunity to present the offer of companies and institutions from the biotechnology industry.
In 2006, after the next edition of Bio-Forum, an idea emerged to implement a pilot project MikroInkubator Firm Biotechnologicznych. This project was carried out together with a partner – the Center of Medical Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Łódź. The MikroInkubator was launched on December 17, 2007. The popularity of the event grows with each subsequent edition. The jubilee edition of Bio-Forum in 2010 was attended by over 1,500 participants from 20 countries and over 100 exhibitors.
