Zrozumienie mechanizmów łączących obecność infekcji z rozwojem niezakaźnych stanów chorobowych może stać się kluczem do skuteczniejszych strategii diagnostycznych\, profilaktycznych i terapeutycznych. \n\n\n\nW maju 2025 roku w Krakowie odbędzie się międzynarodowa konferencja „Pathogens & Immunity: Beyond infection – the long-term impact of infectious diseases on quality of life”. Spotkanie skierowane jest do lekarzy\, naukowców\, diagnostów\, farmaceutów oraz specjalistów zajmujących się chorobami zakaźnymi\, immunologią\, mikrobiologią\, wirusologią i zdrowiem publicznym. W gronie prelegentów znajdują się uznani badacze\, tacy jak prof. dr hab. Leszek Kaczmarek (Instytut Nenckiego PAN)\, którego prace łączą biologię komórkową z badaniami nad procesami uczenia się i pamięcią; prof. dr hab. Marek Sanak (Uniwersytet Jagielloński)\, specjalizujący się w genetyce klinicznej czy prof. dr hab. Maciej Banach (Uniwersytet Medyczny w Łodzi)\, autor istotnych prac z zakresu kardiologii\, lipidologii i hipertensjologii. Specjalna sesja\, prowadzona przez dr hab. Monikę Raulinajtys-Grzybek\, prof. SGH\, podkreśli znaczenie efektywnego finansowania opieki zdrowotnej\, sprawnej organizacji usług medycznych oraz roli diagnostyki w ograniczaniu długoterminowych kosztów.  \n\n\n\nAnglojęzyczne wykłady będą tłumaczone symultanicznie na język polski\, zaś uczestnictwo w konferencji jest okazją do zdobycia 14 punktów edukacyjnych decyzją Okręgowej Izby Lekarskiej w Krakowie.  \n\n\n\nWydarzenie\, przygotowywane przez uznanych na świecie badaczy: prof. dr hab.
