DESCRIPTION:WOMEN IN STEAM in the past and present\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOur mission is to bring the three worlds together: science\, culture and an innovative society\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Conference\n\n\n\nThe aim of the conference is to bring the achievements of  #WomeninSTEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art and Mathematics)\, both from a historical and contemporary perspective\, to the public. We have decided to organize an event that will not only introduce the participants to the biographies of female scientists\, but will also be an event showing the beauty of science 🔬🔭💉 in all its diversity and an inspiration for the young generation.  As part of the conference\, we are planning a series of individual speeches and several panel discussions. \n\n\n\nWe want not only to bring the recipients closer to the profiles of specific scientists\, but also to show the beauty of science in all its diversity and to inspire the young generation\, encourage the initiators. \n\n\n\n\n\nDiscussion panels will cover such areas as:\n\n\n\n+ AI in medicine – AI as a tool supporting medical solutions and preventive healthcare. \n\n\n\n+ Bio-tech-art\, or the effect of creativity on scientific discovery and technological innovation. \n\n\n\n+ Immersive technologies of the future – what experience-based learning is\, and why it is important to be ready for changes in contemporary approaches to empathy-based education. \n\n\n\n+ Women’s achievements in science throughout history and current discoveries. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration for the event will be available soon.\n\n\n\n\nFIND OUT MORE\n\n\n\nREGISTER

DESCRIPTION:EU-LIFE Tech Transfer Pitching Event 2023\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Nencki Institute invites you to the Pitch Event organized by EU LIFE on October 18\, ONLINE\, starting at 1 pm.\n\n\n\n\n\n8 life sciences projects from leading research units in Europe will be presented\, at the stage before establishing a company. \n\n\n\nSubject: \n\n\n\n\ntherapy: cardiovascular diseases\, leukemia\, neurological diseases\, breast cancer\n\n\n\ndiagnosis: Alzheimer’s disease and cancer\n\n\n\nplatform technologies\n\n\n\nCleantech\n\n\n\n\nThe solution of the Nencki Institute and the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology concerns the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease from blood (including early detection)\, a company for product development will soon be established. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe EU-LIFE Tech Transfer Working Group organizes yearly an online pitching event aimed at identifying promising projects with the potential for maturing into spin-offs. It offers the scientists leading these projects the opportunity to talk confidentially to venture capitalists (VCs) and professionals with venture creation experience\, in order to gain insight in the different aspects they should take along in their projects in order to establish a new venture (such as which key data are needed or where should the business case be adjusted).  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nREAD MORE
