Biography

Dr. Michael Czekajlo received his medical degree from the University of Medicine Science In Poznan. He started work in Poland in the early 90s. The first project came about after Dr. Mike met some like-minded people who noticed a lack of standards while working as a med student in an emergency room in Poland. They worked together to design a first responder curriculum for Poland’s national fire service.
In the year 2000, he worked to develop the first American Heart Association (AHA) training center in Poland, and by 2006 started a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) program for school-aged children.
Dr. Michael is Clinical Professor Anesthesia & Critical Care in VCU Health and Medical Director at Simulation Center, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Since 2016 he is Visiting Professor at Medical University of Lublin.
